Is food in Singapore Expensive?

In the beginning of the article, I have mentioned that Singapore is one of the most expensive city to live and that includes food. It all depends on your preference.  If you want to dine in those fine dining restaurants, you can find them inside hotels and many of them are in the city.

There, you will enjoy fine dining settings, with good music on the background and of course, the ambiance.  But, don’t forget that since you are in this kind of restaurant, don’t mind the bill.

Another option is for the average tourists, who are looking for restaurants, just to fill up their hunger. There are lots of these average restaurants and as I have said, the hawker centers.  There, you must be ready to rob elbows with the locals and dine with them.  This is the best way to experience, what it is like to be a Singaporean.

Fast food:

Another option for the strike anywhere guy’s and those loyal to the foreign food brand, there are so many fast food centers in Singapore.  From the leading US brand such as Burger King, McDonalds, jolibee, Pizza Hut and many other regional and local brand names.  While in Singapore, food could never be a problem.  They are everywhere.  But, just a reminder, don’t forget to check your wallet or your card balance.  Why? Because of the so many good things and food to buy, you might forget, you already are out of budget.

So, pack up now, get your passport and head to the airport.
